How many of you care about your reputation? What people think of you and what people say about you? I think it’s a lot more of us then we are willing to admit. Did you know out of habit we all change things about our self, dress a certain way or talk differently depending on the situation out of the concern we want people to like us.

People often say “A bad reputation is better than no reputation at all.” But, do we all think that’s true? Would you rather have someone hate you then have no idea who you are? Yeah, it’s great to be noticed but, what if it’s all for the wrong reasons? Just because people know you doesn’t mean you have friends or you’ll be successful. Dianna Agron once said “I think it’s important to keep your personal life to yourself as much as you can. It protects your sanity and you need to have boundaries. And it helps that enchantment of watching an actor. If you know someone’s favorite color or what they like to do on a Sunday, you won’t fall for the person as much.” It’s a mystery being unknown. It gets people guessing and gives you the opportunity to be somebody without having a good or bad reputation.

One of the most important things someone ever told me was, “Be successful in secret.” It’s not about about bragging or being the top person because everything is going right for you because, in a moment it could all be taken away. Your “Reputation” means nothing unless you’re happy and living your life for yourself.

Always remember it takes years to build a good reputation and only minutes to destroy it. Live your life for you. Be happy, take chances. Don’y worry about having a good reputation. Worry about being a good person then all the rest will fall into place.
